Dow drops 31pts, Tata Motors ADRs zoom 2%

With the US Federal Reserve infusing liquidity of $38 billion in three separate moves on Friday, Wall Street indices cut sharp losses to end on a subdued note.

The Dow, which had declined over 200pts in intra-day deals, finally closed with a loss of 31 points at 13,239.

The Nasdaq Composite dropped to a low of 2503 before finishing with a marginal loss of 12 points at 2,545.

One word expected to affect market sentiment next week? subprime....

Indian ADRs finished on a mixed note. Tata Motors gained over 2% to $16.76. ICICI Bank was up nearly 2% at $42.39. HDFC Bank and WNS also moved up, but Infosys, Wipro, Satyam and Genpact declined yesterday.
