DP World Cochin and the Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) will jointly operate a 24-hour help centre at the Walayar checkpost in Palakkad district. An MoU in this regard will be signed on May 27.
The centre would be help exporters/importers route their consignments through Cochin Port. It would also help in tracking these containers. Similarly, the documents to be submitted at the checkposts could be made ready in advance, a KCCI release said.
