DPIL commences trial production of tower facility

Vadodara-based Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (DPIL), a diversified power transmission and distribution (T&D) company, has announced the commencement of trial production at its transmission tower facility.

The state-of-the-art facility, located at village Vadadala Ta Savli near Vadodara, has been set up at an investment of Rs 40 crore and is capable of manufacturing all types of towers with a capacity of 48,000 MT per annum.

Amit Bhatnagar, managing director of DPIL, said, “With commencement of the trial production at our tower manufacturing facility, especially the CNC equipment from VERNET, we are confident that our plant will be ready for commercial production in next 30-40 days. With commencement of this facility, the company's vertical integration will be complete and will result in better synergies for its EPC division.”

 

An integrated turnkey player with presence in cables and transformers, Diamond Power Infrastructure (DPIL) manufactures a range of products to cater the power transmission and distribution sector. Its product range includes EC grade aluminum wire rods, aluminum alloy rods, aluminum conductors steel reinforced (ACSR) and all-aluminum alloy conductors (AAAC), specialty cables, LT electrical power cables, control and instrumentation cables and are sold under 'Dicabs' brand. With its product profile, the company has an in-house control over 80 per cent of average cost of an EPC project.
