"Over three years, an investment of Rs 100 crore is planned of which Rs 25 crore-Rs 30 crore will be on product manufacturing and research. The personal care segments would also be augmented with us strengthening our distribution model from current availability of products in 6500 modern stores to 20,000 stores by 2016."
The company is targeting to touch a turnover of Rs 300 crore in FY16 as compared to Rs 202 crore in FY15.
According to Vasa, the overall size of the homeopathy healthcare market in India is Rs 3000 crore and only 10 per cent of it falls under the organised sector.
The company has 200 clinics in 113 cities and plans to add 50 new clinics during the current fiscal year. It is also planning to expand its overseas market such as London, Dubai. Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Abudhabi. It is also looking to enter in markets like Patna, Cuttack, Jodhpur, Meerut and Warangal in India. Over 400 homeopathy doctors and consultants are associated with the company.
Vasa further said, " We will add more healthcare products to its portfolio of hair, skin and personal care products and take them to new markets. The other areas where we will increase our presence are aesthetic solutions, which included hair transplantation and non-invasive weight management, and pet care. We are also open to acquire start ups that have similar kind of expertise."
Dr Batra's has opened a homeopathic hospital for pets in Delhi last year and plans to open 20 such day care chain by March.
