Dr Reddy's Laboratories has deployed on-line clinical trails on new formulation products.
Currently, on-line trails are underway for Gatifloxacin (an antibiotic drug invented by Bristol Myers Squibb) and Zafirlukast (an anti-asthma product by Astra Zeneca) at various centers in Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkatta and Hyderabad. These products are yet to be introduced in the Indian market, according to a Dr Reddy's spokesperson.
The on-line facility fastens clinical trails by six to eight weeks by using the Internet for electronic data-capturing and analysis from multiple trail centres.
