Dr Reddy's FY05 net drops 87% to Rs 33cr

Dr Reddy's Laboratories today reported a net loss of Rs 8.75 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2005 as against a net profit of Rs 10.76 crore in Q4FY04.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income declined from Rs 412.79 crore in Q4FY04 to Rs 375.99 crore in Q4FY05.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs 65.46 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as against Rs 283.19 crore in FY04. Total income decreased from Rs 1,742.37 crore in FY04 to Rs 1,629.04 crore in FY05.

The group has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 32.91 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as against Rs 251.48 crore in FY04. Total income decreased from Rs 2,022.82 crore in FY04 to Rs 1,907.80 crore in FY05.

The board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 5 per share, the release said.
