Dr Reddy's gets US FDA for Trandolapril

Drug firm Dr Reddy's Laboratories has received approval from US health regulator Food and Drug Administrator (FDA) for marketing Trandolapril tablets, used in the treatment of hypertension, in that country.    

"The company has  got the approval to market drugs 1 mg, 2 mg and 4 mg strengths," according to the information available on the regulator's website.     

Trandolapril is used to treat high blood pressure. It is marketed by Abbott Laboratories under the brand name Mavik.
