Dr Reddy's Labs bags WorldStar 2004 award

Dr Reddy's Laboratories has received the prestigious 'WorldStar 2004' award from the World Packaging Organisation for three of its products "� ClearzTM, DocetereTM and MintopTM.

Dr Reddy's is the only pharmaceutical company from India to be selected for the awards this year.

The WorldStar 2004 awards ceremony was held recently at Sao Paulo, Brazil. This is the third successive year for Dr Reddy's to win the WorldStar awards.

The company won the WorldStar 2003 award for Omez for its anti-counterfeiting features and the WorldStar 2002 award for NiseTM for its design excellence.

In a press release here on Tuesday, Satish Reddy, Dr Reddy's managing director and chief operating officer, said, "These awards are a recognition of our efforts to prevent counterfeiting and ensure protection to patients using our products. We believe that excellence in product packaging is critical to ensuring the availability of safe and effective medicines."
