Dr Reddy's launches Z&D

Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd has announced that the company has launched Z&D, a zinc sulphate formulation indicated as adjuvant therapy along with ORS (oral rehydration salt) in the management of acute and persistent diarrhoea.

Available in 10 and 20 mg dispersible orange flavoured tablets as well as in 10mg/ml and 20mg/ml dry syrup, the product is intended to supplement the ORS market.

Z&D has been launched nationwide and will be available for prescription by mid-April 2006.

The launch of the product will commence with a series of activities across the country in the form of continuing medical education, patient education programmes, awareness camps and social mobilisation events like ORS marathons. Talks are on with the UNICEF for their global requirement as well.
