Pharmaceutical major Dr Reddys Laboratories Ltd has posted 62 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 253.16 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010 as compared to Rs 156.17 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Total income of the company has increased from Rs 1,166.51 crore to Rs 1,284.43 crore during the quarter under consideration.
For the financial year ended March 2010, the company posted a net profit of Rs 846.08 crore, 51 per cent rise from Rs 560.89 crore in the previous year. Total income increased from Rs 4,297.74 crore to Rs 4,724.64 crore.
The group posted a net profit attributable to the shareholders of the parent of Rs 351.47 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010 as compared to net loss of Rs 917.24 crore in the previous year. Total income increased from Rs 7,000.04 crore to Rs 7,132.69 crore during the period under consideration.
