DSK to set up multi-services SEZ in Pune

DS Kulkarni Developers has plans to set up a multi services Special Economic Zone(SEZ) at Fursungi, in Pune.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, the proposal has received recommendation for in principal approval of the Board of Approvals recently. 

Kedar Vanjape, vice president, DS Kulkarni said, "that the proposed SEZ is for multi-services sector and would be spread on the area of 101.2 hectors. The SEZ will include sectors like information technology, biotechnology, hospitality, animation, design engineering, hospitality". The estimated cost of the project would be close to Rs 2,000 crore, the release added.

The company is in the process of purchasing land for this SEZ directly from the landowners. This will be the first SEZ for the multi-services sector in Pune and the company is planning to take the Foreign Direct Investment route to raise the necessary funds for the investments.
