Dubai contractor eyes Indian market

Dubai contractor Drake and Scull International (DSI) wants to foray into India by the end of the year, the CEO and vice chairman of DSI, Khaldoun Tabari has said.

DSI, which specialises in mechanical engineering and plumbing (MEP) businesses and is listed on the Dubai bourse since March 2009, is considering acquisition or partnership options with some companies in India.

“We are seriously looking at three  or four companies in India.We are looking at an entry point to either a joint venture with a company or to grow organically with a family company,” Tabari said at a media roundtable in Dubai on Wednesday.

 

The company is also considering expansion in Saudi Arabia, Syria and Egypt.
