Ducati appoints Sergi Canovas Garriga as India MD, replaces Ravi Avalur

Italian superbike maker Ducati today announced the appointment of Sergi Canovas Garriga as Managing Director of its India operations.

Garriga (44), who is currently Ducati India Sales Director, replaces Ravi Avalur who is moving to another international role.

The new MD will report directly to Marco Biondi, Ducati Regional Director Asia.

Commenting on his new role, Garriga said: "I am especially looking forward to working closely together with the complete Indian dealer network and the Ducati India team, which has been unchanged since the foundation of Ducati India and therefore has important know how".

He further added: "Continuity in the Indian market is very important for me".
