Iconic Italian mobike brand Ducati today unveiled 'Monster' model M795 with a price tag of Rs 6.99 lakh at the Auto Expo 2012 here.

The "most awaited" Monster will be available at the three dealership of the company, Ducati India CEO Ashish Chordia told reporters.

This urban entry level model has been developed specially for Asia, the company said.

On competition from Harley-Davidson and Triumph, Chordia said India is a fast growing market and offers space for everyone. However, he said Ducati has "no competition".

"The new Monster 795 has been eagerly awaited in India and we have priced it attractively to make it easier for Ducatisti to own their favourite brand," he said.

He said Ducati's experience in India has been good and with the launch of M795, the company expects to increase its sales significantly.

Monster has been the highest selling model for Ducati all over the world, Dcuati Asia Pacific CEO Mirko Bordiga said.

Apart from M795, Ducati is offering 13 other models like Hypermotard and Super Bike in India. The company plans to increase its dealership to 13 by the year end.

Founded in 1926, Ducati has been producing sporty motorcycles since 1946 and is sells in over 80 countries.
