Dudhsagar Dairy in talks to purchase Delhi Milk Scheme

The Mehsana union, biggest of the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) is also in advance stages of talks for taking over Mehsana-Banas Oilseed Union for Rs 10 crore.

Delhi Milk Scheme, founded in 1959, was set up to supply milk to citizens of Delhi at reasonable prices. The dairy is managed by Government of India and gets technical support from National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).

 

DMS, which manufactures and sells ghee, table butter, curd, paneer, buttermilk and flavoured milk, has been incurring losses for the past few years
