"We are targeting $1 billion revenues in India within next five years. We would like to sustain our current sales growth of an average 25 per cent annually in future, " DuPont Vice President Human Resource Maritza Poza-Grise said.
DuPont India had posted sales of $439 million in 2007 and employs over 800 people in the country across its production facilities in Baroda, Hyderabad and Madurai and corporate offices in Gurgaon and Mumbai.
"We are planning to double our headcount in India in the next 2-3 years to leverage on the company's vision of creating sustainable solutions putting science to work," DuPont India General Manager Human Resource Pallavi Tyagi said.
The company, a business-to-business products and service provider has its largest platform in India in agriculture and nutrition segment, followed by performance materials, coatings and colour technologies, safety and protection.

The company's US parent employs over 60,000 people worldwide while in India there are over 800 employees which account for about 15-20 per cent of its global revenues.
DuPont India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of US-based $27.4 billion E I du Pont de Nemours and Company, markets a wide range of products in various market segments including agriculture, food and nutrition, healthcare, home and construction, electronics and safety and protection.
DuPont officials said the company is employee-oriented and its human resource policies aim to engage people in the best possible way.
