Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP) of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) expects to earn a net profit this fiscal after covering for a depreciation of Rs 280 crore and a wage burden of Rs 65 crore.
In the financial year 2000-2001, DSP made enough operating profit to cover its interest liability of around Rs 170 crore fully and posted a cash profit of Rs 58 crore.
