Durian Industries, the Rs 150 crore furniture company, has bagged orders for providing seating solutions from 40 companies in the ITPO sectors. |
Seeing a big potential in providing office seating solutions, the company has begun to focus on this sector in addition to hotel furniture as potential segments for growth. |
"Earlier to this we were mainly into home furniture, but now for the last one year we have begun to target the office sector," said Manohar Jhunjhunwala, marketing director of Durian Industries here on Friday. |
In the last one year, the company has bagged substantial orders from ONGC, ABN Amro, L&T, SBI, Telco, CNBC and Zee Telefilms. |
"We are working on huge orders from Wipro and Satyam Computers and we expect to bag them shortly," he added. |
To tap the office interior market, the company is in the process of setting up a laminates plant at Ahmedabad. |
The production will commence in December. |
In 2004-05, the company clocked Rs 150 crore turnover, and has set a target of Rs 200 crore for this year. |
