e-commerce portal AskmeBazaar.com today launched its hyperlocal format in Uttar Pradesh, which provides an online meeting place for local buyers and sellers.

The format has been launched in Lucknow, Kanpur and Varanasi in UP. The company is offering the Next Day Delivery (NDD) for local buyers in the respective city without any added cost.

In months to come, about 50 more tier-II and tier-III towns in UP and other states would be added, the  company's head (NDD) Marichi Mathur said here.

AskmeBazaar has tied up with about 40 sellers in Lucknow and more would be brought onboard in coming weeks.

It currently caters to 13 categories and 5,000 products spanning popular segments of electronics, kitchen appliances, homecare, tools etc.

He claimed NDD and lowest prices were the twin unique selling propositions of the company.

"NDD model is beneficial for both consumers who get better prices and next day service and for the local retailers who get more business," he said.
