Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), Hyderabad has bagged an order from BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited (a joint venture between the governments of India and Russia) for the supply of mobile command posts (MCP), mobile autonomous launchers (MAL) and training simulators. |
The order valued at more than Rs 50 crore is to be executed in about 18 months. GP Srivastava, chairman and managing director of ECIL said that the company's strong R&D base and its capacity to build customised systems for projects of national importance have been the driving forces towards bagging the order. |
The BrahMos missile has been developed for the Indian army for static targets. The combat vehicles comprise MAL and MCP, a press release said. |
