eClerx Sevices Q1 net down 26% y-o-y at Rs 12 cr

Knowledge process outsourcing firm eClerx Services, posted net profit of Rs 11.9 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2009, a dip of 25.6 per cent from Rs 16 crore in the corresponding quarter last financial year. Revenue rose 28 per cent to Rs 54.4 crore from Rs 42.4 crore in the same quarter ended June 30, 2008.
 
Sequentially, the company’s net profit were down 22.8 per cent from Rs 15.42 — revenue remained flat at Rs 53.27 crore.
The total headcount as on June 30, 2009 stands at 2,194, growth of 22% YoY.
