Fastudent.com has tied up with Delhi-based NGOs ‘Assist Education Health Welfare for Weaker’ and Goonj to launch an initiative to share the joy and festivity of Diwali with underprivileged students.

The initiative, called “#TeriMeriDiwali”, aims to arouse the hope of education among students from the weaker section of society and promote the belief of giving back.

Fastudent.com, an education portal, services the entire student fraternity from play groups to post-graduates. Under this initiative, it will donate drawing books, textbooks, clothes, blankets, toys, colours and many more goodies to the students of these NGOs.

Fastudent.com Chief Operating Officer Geetanjali Khanna said: “We aim to go the extra mile to help students and contribute in their development in whichever manner possible. We plan to extend our support to many other NGOs as part of our corporate-social responsibility.”

The company said it believed that “education is the movement from darkness to light”. Considering the fact that millions of students across India are unable to access even basic education, the young start-up aims to make a tangible difference where it counts.
