Educomp buys 76% stake in ThreeBrix E-Services

E-learning solutions provider Educomp Solutions has acquired 76% stake in ThreeBrix E-Services.

According to a release issued by Educomp to the BSE today, the partnership between the company and ThreeBricks would leverage Educomp's large content library for providing tutoring in several ways - online, offline and through learning centers mainly focused on serving Indian students. The company, however, did not disclose any other details of the deal.

ThreeBrix E-Services owns The Learning Hour tutoring service, and was started in 2005 by three IIM (Ahmedabad) graduates, and has gained early success in providing high quality tutoring services in the Middle East and Dubai.

The size of instructor-led tutoring market is over Rs 5,000 crore in India, the release added.

In a separate filing, Educomp said it has bagged a three-year order worth Rs 18.30 crore from the Haryana government for imparting CAL programme in 716 government senior secondary schools.
