Eicher posts 21% growth in September sales

Commercial vehicle manufacturer Eicher Motors today reported a 21% increase in total sales in September compared to the same month last year.

Total sales in the month stood at 2,840 units, of which 2539 units were in the domestic market and 301 units were exported, company executives said. Sales of heavy commercial vehicles (HCV) increased 80% at 600 units. "Growth in the HCV segment is on account of good response to the recently introduced multi-axle cowl vehicle," said A Ramasubramanian, CEO, Eicher Motors.
