Eicher to launch tippers soon

Eicher Motors is planning to launch tippers and higher tonnage vehicles soon.

"We have already piloted 4x2 tippers in certain specific segments like mining and construction, and plan to commercially launch them in the next few months," Rakesh Kalra, chief executive of Eicher Motors, said.

Eicher, which offers vehicles in the 5-25 tonne range, is planning a further thrust in the heavy commercial vehicle market and launch vehicles up to 40 tonne.

"We have plans to go up to 40 tonne though many of the products are in the drawing board stage. Most of the research and development efforts are being done in-house," Kalra said.
