EID Parry Q4 net up 60% to Rs 36.5 cr
 
EID Parry, part of the Rs 5,200 crore Murugappa group, has reported a 60 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 36.54 crore for the fourth quarter ending March 31, 2005, compared with Rs 22.81 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Total income rose 39 per cent to Rs 276.04 crore (Rs 198.47 crore).
 
The board of directors has recommended a dividend of 125 per cent. EID Parry reported a jump of 141 per cent in net profit to Rs 104.26 crore for the year ending March 31, 2005, from Rs 43.23 crore in 2003-04. Total income grew by 29 per cent to Rs 770.78 crore (Rs 595.17 crore).
 
Ennore Q4 net up 19.11% to Rs 4 cr
 
Ennore Foundries has posted a net profit of Rs 4.05 crore in the last quarter of 2004-05, up 19.11 per cent compared with the previous year's net profit of Rs 3.40 crore. Net sales was up 3.34 per cent at Rs 56.18 crore (Rs 54.36 crore).
 
For the financial year 2004-05, the company's net profit was Rs 13.08 crore, up 212.91 per cent from Rs 4.18 crore in the previous year. Net sales rose to Rs 222.67 crore (Rs 185.07 crore). Ennore Foundries plans to set up a greenfield foundry near Chennai with a capacity of 50,000 tonne at a cost of Rs 120 crore.
 
Godrej Consumer net up 38% to Rs 90 cr
 
Godrej Consumer Products reported a 50 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 28.8 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2005 as compared with Rs 19.2 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Net sales increased 14 per cent to Rs 138.5 crore (Rs 121.4 crore).
 
According to a company release, the company saw a 38 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 89.6 crore for the year ended March 2005 compared with Rs 64.8 crore last year. Net sales was higher by 15 per cent at Rs 562.7 crore (Rs 489.7 crore).
 
The company's board of directors has recommended fourth interim dividend of Rs 5 per share. The full-year dividend aggregates to 300 per cent (Rs 12 per share of face value of Rs 4).
