Elder Pharmaceuticals today said its consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2011, rose by 2.73% to Rs 17.27 crore.
In comparison, the company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 16.81 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Elder Pharmaceuticals said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The company's total income rose to Rs 303.16 crore for the fourth quarter, compared to Rs 189.79 crore in the same period last fiscal.
For the year ended March 31, 2011, the company posted a net profit of Rs 62.57 crore, compared to Rs 47.22 crore in the previous fiscal.
The company's total income for the year ended March 31, 2011, stood at Rs 960.28 crore, as against Rs 721.60 crore in the previous fiscal.
On a standalone basis, the company reported a net profit of Rs 18.21 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2011, compared to Rs 16.81 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal.
The company's total income stood at Rs 221.93 crore for the fourth quarter, compared to Rs 189.79 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Shares of Elder Pharma closed at Rs 368.95 apiece on the BSE today, up 1.46% from their previous close.
