Elecon Engg crosses 100 stacker-reclaimers mark

Vallabh Vidyanagar-based Elecon Engineering, one of the largest manufacturer of material handling equipment, industrial gears and power transmission products announced that the company has become the first Indian company to sell more than 100 stacker-reclaimers (combined machine throughout the globe) and have also become the third company in the world to have sold over 225 wagon tipplers.

Elecon supplied its first such combined machine 44 years ago at Santaldih for the West Bengal State Electricity Corporation.

The company now manufactures 13 different types of machines for stacking and reclaiming for bulk material handling.

"Elecon's wagon tipplers are always kept in high regards in the market and in the domestic market. Elecon enjoys a lion's share of around 65-70 per cent as far as wagon tipplers are concerned. Through our expertise we are successfully able to make three different types of such machine," said Prayasvin Patel, chairman and managing director, Elecon.
