Elecon Engg executes $2.25mn contract for Technip

Elecon Engineering Company (EECL) has executed an export contract of $2.25 million for the Oman-India Fertiliser Project.
 
Technip of France had awarded this project to Elecon for a Ship Loader along with a Jetty Conveyor.
 
The system, designed to handle urea at the rate of 1,000 metric tonne per hour (mtph) and operating through program logic control in complete auto mode, has been successfully commissioned. It has also received the preliminary acceptance certificate.
 
Technip-France picked Elecon, based on the credentials and performance of the ship loader installed earlier by Elecon for Gujarat Ambuja Cement at their Mul Dwarka Project for handling bulk cement and clinker at 1,000 mtph.
 
Elecon is a leading manufacturer of bulk material handling system and has installed complete conveying system to 42 fertiliser plants in the country.
