Electrolux opens all-women showroom in Chennai

Electrolux India today opened its first all-women outlet in the city, and announced plans to open four more such showrooms this year.

The company also launched its kitchen appliances - Hobs & Hoods - for the first time in the southern markets after introducing them in north India recently.

Inaugurating the first All-Women Electrolux Home, Ajay Kapila, vice-president (sales & marketing) of Electrolux India, said the outlet where all the employees, including sales persons and showroom managers, would be women was designed keeping in mind the sensitivity of women customers.

He said Electrolux would open four more similar outlets in other metros, but the company was yet to finalise the locations.
