"We have covered a major part of the state in a short span of time compared to other states of the country. The launch of our first scooter in February this year in UP is getting tremendous response even today," said Prashant Kumar, assistant general manager (sales), Electrotherm (India) Ltd. The company launched its YOSpeed scooter in Lucknow yesterday. |
YOSpeed is India's first electric two-wheeler in 750 watt category, approved by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). The 'no petrol scooter' can seat two persons and run 500 km per litre. The vehicle is priced at Rs 35,740 and is available in five colours. |
The company plans to increase its dealer network from 23 at present to about 50 in the next three to four months in the state. |
"This is to tap the huge potential the state offers. It has a monthly growth of about 45,000 two-wheeler vehicles under various categories available." |

The outlets, called YOWorlds, will provide its customers the 'sales, after sales service and spare parts', all under one roof. |
