Emami Group company Emami Paper Mills today posted a marginal increase of around 2 per cent in profit-after-tax (PAT) to Rs 2.39 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010.
In the same period of the corresponding fiscal, the company had registered a PAT of Rs 2 crore, Emami Paper Mills said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
During the quarter, the company's net sales increased marginally to Rs 97.42 crore from Rs 96.44 crore in the same period last fiscal.
During the year-ended March 31, 2010, Emami Paper Mills' PAT declined by 68 per cent to Rs 6.9 crore from Rs 22.08 crore in the year-ago period.
During the year, the company's net sales declined by 11 per cent to Rs 38.5 crore from Rs 43.49 crore in the previous fiscal.
