Emami Paper Mills, a part of the Kolkata-based Emami Group, today reported an over two-fold rise in its net profit at Rs 6.35 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013.
The company had posted a profit of Rs 2.79 crore in the same period of previous fiscal, Emami Paper Mills said in filing to BSE.
However, the company's total income from operations increased to Rs 138.40 crore in the July-September 2013 quarter compared to Rs 123.24 crore in the same period a year ago.

For the first half (H1) of 2013-14 fiscal, Emami Paper Mills profit increased to Rs 12.84 crore as against Rs 3.48 crore in the year-ago period.
Emami Paper Mills total income from operations in first half period (April-September) increased to Rs 259.04 crore as against Rs 237.98 crore in the same period last year.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 21.80 per scrip at BSE during the afternoon trade, down 3.11% from their previous close.
