Emami has informed the BSE that it has purchased acquired 146,643 equity shares comprising of 18.18 per cent of the total paid up capital of Zandu Pharmaceuticals Works Ltd at a price of Rs 15,000 per share.
In addition, the company has paid a non compete fee of Rs 1500 per equity share.
Further the Company has informed that, by separate transactions, the company on October 15, 2008, has further acquired 37,417 equity shares of Zandu, as per details given herein under:
4103 shares from NSE constituting 0.51 per cent of the equity capital at Rs 14,440.90 per share. And 33, 314 shares constituting 4.13 per cent of the equity capital purchased at Rs 14,356.65.
