Emirates, the Dubai-based airline, is on a major recruitment drive just ahead of the launch of its eight-flights-a-week service to Bangalore starting October 29. |
A team of officials from the airline's headquarters in Dubai will arrive in the city in April to recruit candidates from Bangalore who reside here for select cabin crew positions, according to the company. |
The recruitment would be made keeping in mind the airline's ever increasing demand for a multi-national workforce. This exercise is a follow-up to its cabin crew recruitment programme held in Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Goa recently. |
Salem Obaidalla, airline's vice-president, India and Nepal, said in a statement, "Emirates recruits cabin crew from India regularly. Indian applicants in the past have demonstrated high calibre, confidence, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, maturity and a positive attitude." |
Emirates, at present, employs more than 28,000 people, 5,600 of them being cabin crew. The airline has a fleet of 90 Boeing and Airbus aircraft with another 100 plus wide-bodied aircraft on order. |
