Addressing a press conference, Chandra Mohan, senior vice-president, ESCL, said, "The co-generation plant coming up at Nayudupet in Andhra Pradesh is expected to be commissioned by 2007. The investment in the 20-MW plant is about Rs 80 crore, which the company plans to fund through banks loans and internal accruals." |
It is estimated that 10 per cent of the power generated from the co-generation plant will be used for internal consumption and the remaining will be sold to electricity boards under power purchase agreement. |
Mohan said that ESCL will have diversified portfolio model of sugar, alcohol, ethanol and power. |
