With the number of participating companies, both domestic and global, rising, ENGIMACH-2010, a mega industrial exhibition, is likely to generate business of Rs. 1,000 crore this year.
The participants in previous ENGIMACH exhibition in 2009 did business of worth Rs. 650 crore. "This year's trade fair is expected to generate business of Rs. 1,000 crore," said Kamlesh Gohil, managing director, K&D Communication Ltd while flagging-off ENGIMACH today, which is open till 10 January.
The organisers confidence could be guaged from the fact that the number of participating companies this year has increased to more than 1,000, which stood at around 750 in last trade fair by K&D Communication.
As many as 25 global firms have set up their shops in the exhibition. Some of them include Haas of USA, Spainish firm Pinacho, and Germany-based DMC.
“ENGIMACH-2010 is aimed at making Indian engineering industries and companies a center of attention for global players. We expect more joint ventures and associations between foreign companies and their Indian counterparts during the event and after that as well," added Gohil.
