State-run Engineers India Limited today said it is mulling to bid under the ninth round of the New Exploration and Licencing Policy (NELP) of oil and gas blocks and enter city gas distribution projects.
"We would like to grow gradually with partners in upstream projects. We are likely go with some reputed players," Engineers India's Chairman and Managing Director A K Purwaha told reporters on the sidelines of a Valves Conference organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry here.
The company is looking to enter city gas distribution projects and provide consultancy for nuclear power projects.
"We are planning to enter city gas distribution projects and also provide consultancy for nuclear power projects," Purwaha said.
He, however, did not divulge details in this regard.
At present, the company provides consultancy for oil and gas projects and gets over 40 per cent of its total revenue from them and the balance from projects.
"We are at present consultants for projects in the oil and gas sector and get over 40 per cent revenue from this," Purwaha said, adding the company's order-book stands at Rs 9,000 crore.
