Enterprise Orissa-2009 in November

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)-Orissa in association with the Orissa government would organize the 14th Enterprise Orissa-2009, an industrial exhibition in the city from November 20 to 24 this year.

The expo is expected to be attended by 165 participants and 60 per cent of them would be from core sectors like iron and steel and aluminum.

SS Nandurdikar, chairman, CII-Orissa said, “The theme of this year's exhibition is inclusive growth. The focus of the exhibition would be on areas like MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises), ITIs (industrial training institutes), technical education and IT SMEs”.

The industrial expo would also have a four-day soft skills programme by the city-based Centurion Institute of Technology (CIT) and a three-day training programme aimed at preparing the MSMEs for ancillarisation by Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI).

 

Sourabh Garg, the state industries secretary said, “The industrial exhibition would have a separate session on food processing. We hope that the five-day expo will attract entrepreneurs from different regions of the state.”

Enterprise Orissa-2009 would have separate sessions on industry prepared technical education and enforcement of the Orissa MSME Development Policy. Besides, there would be business to business meetings with prospective national and international investors in various sectors.
