Packaging firm Essel Propack today reported its net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2010, at Rs 15.60 crore.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 41.69 crore in the corresponding period previous year, Essel Propack said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
In December 2009, the overseas subsidiaries medical device business were diversified and it contributed a profit of Rs 32.40 crore to the company's kitty.
The total income during the third quarter increased by 4.21 per cent to Rs 364.90 crore from Rs 350.15 crore in the same period last fiscal, the filing added.
The shares of the company today marginally fell and closed at Rs 52.05 a piece on the BSE.
