Essen Deinki to invest Rs 10 cr in new Dehradun unit

Chandigarh-based Essen Deinki Group, manufacturers of electrical and electronic connectors and micro-switches and having interest in software development and training institute, is expanding.
 
The group company, Koening Solution Private Ltd, is planning to invest Rs 10 crore, over two years in the software development and training unit.
 
The unit will come in the Dehradun IT Park, spread over one acre and employ 200 people.
 
It will also have the company's training institute under the brand name 'Koening', imparting training for software development. Currently, the training institutes are located in Delhi, Goa and Shimla.
 
Speaking to Business Standard, the CEO, Essen Deinki Group, S K Jain, said in the near future Koening Solution Private Ltd would be investing in the IT park in tri-city of Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali. "With software exports increasing in the UK and the US, we will be opening offices in these market, followed by Japan," he added.
 
However, the group's core business lies in manufacturing high-precision, high-performance electrical and electronic connectors and microswitches. The two units in Chandigarh and Panchkula, Essen Deinki Private Ltd, Chandigarh, and Essen Connectors Private Limited, Panchkula, are largely focusing on the export market.Later this year in November the company would participate in the Electronic'2006 at Munich, Germany.
 
With a group turnover of Rs 20 crore the company are exporting a marginal percentage to Europe, Middle East and USA . Essen's products find application in Telecommunications, Computers, Business & Office machines, Micro processor based equipment, Industrial Electronics, Defence, Avionics, Machine Tools. Power Sector, etc
 
"In the fast changing world of electronics our in-house Research and Development centre is digitalizing and bringing energy saving products to compete with global competitors,"said Jain while adding that the group was expecting a 50 percent growth this fiscal.
 
Some of the customers of the company include Defense PSU Bharat Electronic Limited, BHEL, C-DOT, HMT, Larsen and Toubro, Siemens, Crompton Greaves, Space Application centre, Kirloskar, PUNCOM, Tata Telecom Nuclear power corporation of India Ltd, etc.
