Eveready Industries India registered sales of Rs 745.71 crore at the end of 2004-05, while net sales was at Rs 654.93 crore. Profit before tax is Rs 48.30 crore and profit after tax is Rs 46.31 crore. Eveready's sales in 2003-04 stood at Rs 968.23 crore and profit after tax was at Rs 38 lakh. |
However, the figures are not comparable as it was prior to demerger of the tea business. But, comparison with the segment results of the FMCG division of the company for 2003-04 shows that total net revenues were higher by Rs 95.64 crore, a growth of 16.3 per cent over the previous financial year. |
Correspondingly, profit before depreciation, interest and taxation improved from Rs 76.26 crore to Rs 106.80 crore over the period, a gain of 40 per cent. |
Henkel Spic Q1 net up 31% |
Henkel Spic's net profit for the first quarter ended March 31, 2005 increased by 31 per cent to Rs 0.80 crore versus the Rs 0.61 crore that it clocked in first quarter ended March 31, 2004. |
The company's net sales excluding excise duty however dipped by 50 per cent to Rs 46.33 crore when compared to the Rs 93.18 crore that it earned in the first quarter ended March 31, 2004. |
Jindal Poly Q4 net up 46% to Rs 21 cr |
Jindal Poly Film Ltd, manufacturer of flexible packaging films, has reported a 46.2 per cent increase in its profits after tax for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2005, at Rs 21.14 crore compared with Rs 14.46 crore for the corresponding quarter of 2003-04. Net sales rose to 29.7 per cent to Rs 703 crore during the financial year 2004-05 as against Rs 542 crore in 2003-04. |
For the year 2004-05, the profits (PAT) rose 35.7 per cent to Rs 75.8 crore (Rs 55.8 crore). The exports have registered an increase of 108 per cent during the quarter over the corresponding period last year. |
Jindal Poly has recently expanded its capacities for flexible packaging films (BOPET and BOPP) at its plant at Nasik. With the setting-up 8.2 metre wide BOPP film line in February 2005 for 32,000 tonne per annum and 8.7 metre wide BOPET film line for 25,000 tonne per annum in March for 2005, it has become the largest producer of flexible packaging films in India, a release from the company said. |
