Building solutions provider Everest Industries is expecting over 25% increase in revenue from its pre-engineered building (PEB) solutions business to over Rs 200 crore this fiscal.

"The PEB sector is growing at 20% due to strong demand from industrial and infrastructure sectors as well as from traditional users of RCC/structural steel buildings who are now converting to modern technologies like PEB. We expect over 25% rise in our revenue to more than Rs 200 crore by the end of this fiscal from this vertical," Everest Managing Director Manish Sanghi said.

Last year, the revenue from PEB segment was Rs 160 crore, of the total turnover of Rs 734 crore. PEB contributes nearly 25% to its revenue, he said.

He expressed the hope the order book growth momentum in PEB segment would continue at similar rate every year.

At present, the company's PEB order book stands at Rs 150 crore with nearly 500 projects in over 25 states. The PEB market is around Rs 3,000 crore and is growing at 35%.

Everest has a PEB manufacturing facility at Roorkee in Uttarakhand, with a capacity of around 60,000 tonne a year.

Sanghi, however, maintained the revenue from building products division would continue to be a major contributor to its business.

Everest offers a varied range of fibre cement products covering both roofing as well as boards. It exports to Asia, Africa, South Pacific and Europe.

"We plan to focus on increasing our capacity to match the increasing demand both in the domestic and international markets. We have decided to set up a fibre cement roofing plant at Balasore in Orissa with a capacity of 100,000 tonne at a capex of Rs 50 crore," he said.

The company has manufacturing facilities at Kymore (MP), Kolkata, Coimbatore and Nashik in Maharashtra. It offers building products and PEB solutions for industrial, commercial and residential sectors.
