Business conglomerate Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported an 81 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 322.49 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024, on higher income.
Its net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25 fiscal, from Rs 4,893.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.

On business performance of its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associate companies, Godrej Industries said the consolidated sales of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) stood at Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.
Godrej Properties' total Income grew to Rs 1,638 crore in April-June period of this fiscal, from Rs 1,315 crore in the year-ago period.

Patel Engineering Ltd on Tuesday reported a 25.81 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 48.17 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024.
It had posted a Rs 38.29 crore net profit from operations during the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company's revenue from operations declined by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,101.66 crore in the June quarter.
It was at Rs 1,118.61 crore in the year-ago period.
Patel Engineering's Managing Director Kavita Shirvaikar said, "Our focus remains on delivering long-term value for our stakeholders while continuously enhancing operational efficiency and output."

Alpha Wave Global, and IHC (International Holding Company) have sought the Competition Commission of India's approval to acquire minority stakes in Haldiram Snacks Food.
Alpha Wave is a global investment company and United Arab Emirates-based IHC is one of the world's largest investment companies having a USD 250 billion market valuation and listed on Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.
"The proposed transaction entails the acquisition of less than 10 per cent of the issued and paid-up equity share capital of the target (Haldiram Snacks Food Pvt Ltd)," said a notice filed with the Competition Commission of India (CCI).
The proposed combination, classified as an acquisition of shares and voting rights, falls under specific clauses of the Competition Act, it added.

Electric two-wheeler maker Ather Energy Ltd on Friday said it has mobilised Rs 1,340 crore from anchor investors days ahead of the launch of its initial share sale for public subscription.
The Ather Energy IPO opens for public subscription on April 28.
Some of the key anchor investors who were allocated shares include Custody Bank of Japan, Franklin Templeton, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Eastspring Investments, Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Societe Generale.

JioStar, the joint venture created after the merger of the media business of Reliance and the India business of global media giant Walt Disney, on Friday reported revenues of Rs 10,006 crore with pre-tax earnings of Rs 774 crore.
JioHotstar, which was launched after the merger of two leading OTT platforms JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar on February 14, 2025, crossed 100 million paid user milestone within five weeks, according to earnings statement from Realiance Industries.

Nokia Solutions and Networks India on Friday divested nearly 1 per cent stake in debt-saddled telecom operator Vodafone Idea for Rs 786 crore through an open market transaction.
According to the bulk deal data on the NSE, Nokia Solutions and Networks India sold 102.70 crore shares, amounting to a 0.95 per cent stake in Vodafone Idea. The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 7.65 apiece, taking the aggregate value to Rs 785.67 crore.
Meanwhile, global investment firm Goldman Sachs picked up 59.86 crore shares or 0.55 per cent holding in Vodafone Idea. The shares were acquired at the same price. This took the deal value to Rs 457.96 crore. Details of other buyers of Vodafone Idea's shares could not be ascertained.
On Friday, shares of Vodafone Idea fell 5.93 per cent to close at Rs 7.46 per piece on the NSE.
