Expect 5-10% increase in tariffs this year: Vodafone

Company official says while people see inflation in various products like onions and others, they expect telecom tariffs to go down

Vodafone India today said that it expects telecom tariffs to go up by anything between 5-10% this year.

In an interview to a TV channel, Marten Pieters the managing director of the company said that while people see inflation in various products like onions and others, they expect telecom tariffs to go down.

Pieters however did not mention if the increases would be in its voice or data services. “It (the price increases) will be substantially lower than the inflation rate. We get affected by inflation as use a lot of electricity and diesel,” he said.
