Fem Care to set up Rs6cr unit near Nashik

Fem Care Pharma (FCPL) is planning to set up a chemical facility at Vadivarhe, 6 kms from Nashik, with an investment of Rs 6 crore.

Sunil H Pophale, chairman & managing director of FCPL, said the unit will be operational by April 2007.

"The facility will manufacture high value intermediates required for bulk drugs, import substitutes and/or exports. FCPL is spending Rs 6 crore to set up the facility, which is expected to start commercial operations by April 2007."

This will be a full good manufacturing practices (GMP)-compliant facility, and will be spread on 3.25 acres of land with a built-up area of 4,000 square metre, he added.

FCPL's existing facility is located in Ambad area of MIDC in Nashik. The company  has recently set up a cosmetic facility at Himachal Pradesh.

The company has set a sales target of Rs 85 crore for the current fiscal including exports of Rs 5 crore.
