ABEIL has decided to install a ferro alloy submerged arc furnace and a non-conventional power plant.

The projects would be completed in 18 months and the cost would be around Rs 45 crore.

The power requirement in the ferro alloy plant was 8 mw and the residue could be used for other purposes.

The power project would be a captive power plant of 10 mw or above in individual capacity, depending upon the legible limits by the respective B and C category of identified districts.

K J Dujaria, managing director ABEIL said, "We have chosen a backward district for such plants to avail relaxation provided by the state government as well as for the upliftment of a backward district like Bankura in the industrial map of West Bengal".

ABEIL had acquired 35 acres of land at Banakati in Bankura. The company also planned to approach WBIDC for equity participation.

The company had Ghalasi Engineering as its consultant for the ferro alloy project.

For the power plant, ABEIL has appointed Development Consultants Limited to complete the project.
