ABEIL has decided to install a ferro alloy submerged arc furnace and a non-conventional power plant. |
The projects would be completed in 18 months and the cost would be around Rs 45 crore. |
The power requirement in the ferro alloy plant was 8 mw and the residue could be used for other purposes. |
The power project would be a captive power plant of 10 mw or above in individual capacity, depending upon the legible limits by the respective B and C category of identified districts. |
K J Dujaria, managing director ABEIL said, "We have chosen a backward district for such plants to avail relaxation provided by the state government as well as for the upliftment of a backward district like Bankura in the industrial map of West Bengal". |
ABEIL had acquired 35 acres of land at Banakati in Bankura. The company also planned to approach WBIDC for equity participation. |
The company had Ghalasi Engineering as its consultant for the ferro alloy project. |
For the power plant, ABEIL has appointed Development Consultants Limited to complete the project. |
