The Satyam saga and the role of Price Waterhouse will top the agenda of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Council meeting on Monday and Tuesday.
While the matter is not listed as an agenda item for the meeting, a council member said, that given the gravity of the matter, the role of auditors will be discussed in detail at the meeting.
He, however, clarified that the council meeting was scheduled in advance and had nothing to do with the developments in Hyderabad.
The council members are informally taking suggestions from other chartered accounts to see how the issue can be best handled, sources said.
