Financial service companies too eye online shopping festival

Stock brokers, insurance players, and others tie-up with Google for online play

It's not just gadgets, clothing and luxury brands which have a presence at the third edition of Google's 'Great Online Shopping Festival'. Financial players including stock brokers, life insurance companies and banking companies too are jumping on board.

Stock brokers present include RKSV, Kotak Securities and Aditya Birla Money; according to the website for the festival.

"We think Great Online Shopping Festival is an excellent platform to promote and engage first-time shoppers to enjoy the ease of transacting online. We are committed to empowering Indians to make better financial decisions and look forward to grow the digital eco-system through our partnership with GOSF," said Sudhakar Ramasubramanian- Managing Director, Aditya Birla Money in a statement about the partnership.

 

"Every player in the industry is gearing up to offer gosf shoppers a great experience on their site. We are hopeful that millions of buyers will enjoy thousands of deals and offers available on gosf this year and will set new benchmarks in daily sales," Nitin Bawankule, Industry Director, eCommerce, Local and Classifieds- Google India added.

Other financial services companies who are on board include Max Life Insurance, Bajaj Allianz, Cigna TTK, Reliance General Insurance, HDFC Bank, Tata Capital and credit data provider Credit Information Bureau (India) Limited (CIBIL).
