First Bi-Wheeler auto show in country

The Delhi scooter traders association (DSTA) is organising the country's first international bi-wheeler auto show in Delhi from March 10 -13.
 
Major Indian automobile companies and international companies from South East Asia, Europe and US are expected to participate in the event.
 
Talking about the event, DSTA president Kashmiri Narang told media persons, "There was a need to bring bi-wheeler at par with the four wheeler segment. There is an annual auto show event for four wheelers but not for bi-wheelers. We don't want bi-wheeler owners to be neglected."
 
DSTA is a federation of 40 auto association from across the country, he added.
 
He also appealed to the Gujarat government to segregate bi-wheelers from four wheelers.
 
"Four wheelers is a luxury while bi-wheelers are a necessity. We appeal to the government to segregate bi-wheeler from four wheelers and make the sales tax at 4 per cent. Rajasthan has already seperated bi-wheeler from four wheelers."
 
Some of the prominent exhibitors include NGK Spark Plug Company Ltd, Japan, DID Asia Company Ltd, Thailand. TVS Motors, Bajaj Auto, Steel Bird, Remsons Industries Ltd,Maco Ltd, Makino, NRB Bearings among others.
 
More than five lakh visitors are likely to visit the four day event.
